Student Ownership and Agency

I'm doing this project because it interests my greatly, I hope to inspire to either study the same things that I have or to do the same as me by incorporating art and math together. I am hoping to build my knowledge in art and math by using both of these in my project. I will be working with a math teacher as my mentor to ensure that my equations are the correct so that my sculptures will work.

If my idea is liked by the school Principal, Barbara, I will be able to place my completed sculptures around the school. One will be hanging and two of them will be standing sculptures.

Substantial Learning Beyond the Classroom

In this project I will learn design skills that could help me in future with my careers.

With my project I will be learning how to use a different software such as google sketch up to design my sculptures, I will hopefully learn to use carving tools, I also plan to learn about the way my sculptures will be manufactured by professionals.

A Quality Product

I want my project to be displayed in school with the same high quality as the projects around it.

If I want my project to inspire others I need it to made well so the ideas come across clearly to other people than myself.

Participating and Contributing with the Community

I will hopefully be going to different metal, glass and stone manufacturers and discus whether or not my sculptures are possible with the complicated curve that they will have to create.

If this project is a success it will be displayed in Albany Senior High School for the students to observe or study and hopefully inspire.
